Touted as the most significant update ever, WinZip 17 brings to the table dramatic improvements. Top of the list of new things is integration with social networking websites as well as major online storage services.

This means that you will be able to manage and access data in the cloud from a single place. The direct integration with SkyDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive offers the possibility to protect the information by archiving and encrypting it (AES 128/256-bit) as well as share it.

Sharing possibilities extend to social media sites as well (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn), through ZipShare online app.

WinZip 17 also integrates options for resizing images, and comes with a built-in PDF converter, for Microsoft Office documents. Moreover, to prevent unauthorized copying, it can now place watermarks on photos.

Looks have also been modified, as the toolbars are now context-sensitive, changing according to the task at hand.
