Limit for the compression dictionary on Windows XP x86 is set to 128MB

A new beta has been released for WinRAR 5.0. As expected, the list of changes informs only of repairs.

The developer did away with the problem with XZ archive support, which occurred in the previous beta release. Another fix refers to the “convert” command, which prevented the use of compression dictionaries larger than 4MB.

In earlier builds, the comment for the archive would not be appended when the encryption password and the archive comment were entered upon creating the RAR package. This problem should no longer exist now.

One improvement touches on limiting the maximum size of the compression dictionary to 128MB, under 32-bit Windows XP. The reason for this change is that WinRAR is unable to allocate the necessary memory to create packages with 256MB dictionary on the specified operating system.
