Canonical is doing everything in its power to raise the necessary funds for the Ubuntu Edge crowd-funding campaign, even if this means giving personalized devices.

The Ubuntu Edge campaign features a few perks for the potential buyers, but none of them includes a phone engraved with the name of the owner.

Canonical is now offering everyone a chance to get their hands on this personalized device and all they have to do is follow a few simple instructions.

Users will have to login on IndieGoGo, get a unique “Share This Campaign” link, and share it via social media, email, or any other means.

According to Canonical, after one week, the person who drives the most money in referral contributions between now and 4.00pm BST on Friday, August 2, will win this great prize.

Ubuntu Edge is a phone developed by Canonical that features some amazing hardware and it’s scheduled for launch in May 2014.

More details about this crowd-funding project from Canonical, including its price, can be found in our initial report.
