From Microsoft

Considering that all you have to do is answer a simple question by leaving a comment on the Windows Team’s official blog in order to get a chance at winning free copies of Windows 7 and Office 2010 as well as a 16 GB Zune HD, the “effort” is more than worth it. Earlier this week, Microsoft kicked off the Windows Recession Sweepstakes. The winner of the first round was already announced, and the company is moving forward with the competition. July 15th brings with it the second round, for the same prize package.

“Round two of the Windows Recession sweepstakes is now open! Starting at 6:00am PT today (July 15), comments will be open for 24 hours,” revealed Microsoft’s Ashley Brown. “To enter to win Windows 7 Ultimate, Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Student and a 16 GB Zune HD, leave a comment letting us know who your favorite musical artist is right now.”

The Windows Recession Sweepstakes will last until the end of the month. Microsoft is ready to hand out no less than 10 free copies of Windows 7, 10 Home & Student SKUs of Office 2010 RTM and also 10 16 GB Zune HD devices. The only downside to the Windows Recession Sweepstakes is the fact that they are only open to users in the United States. However, those customers that do qualify need to head over to this Windows Team blog post and leave a valid comment.

“Remember, to find out when a new round of the sweepstakes opens you need to follow  me, Brandon, the Windows Blog or Ben on Twitter (or check the Windows Experience Blog). Including today, there are still 9 chances to win! You also need to let us know in your blog comment how we can contact you. We strongly recommend you leave us your Twitter handle. If you must leave an email address that also works, but we advise against it – remember the blog is public space. Please don’t leave your address or phone number – we’ll get that from you offline if you win,” Brown added.
