Win Free Windows Phone 7 and Zune Devices from @Office

A new contest from Microsoft is offering participants a chance at winning a number of Windows Phone 7 and Zune devices.

The Redmond company has just announced its “Microsoft Office I Want To Win A Windows Phone 7 Sweepstakes,” a competition with no less than 7 Windows Phone 7 devices offered to just as many grand prize winners.

Microsoft is not saying what brand of smartphones are up for grabs, but it does reveal that the approximate retail value is $500 per unit.

But there’s more. There are also no less than 7 first prizes, namely 7 Zune HD 32GB MP3 Player in Platinum Silver devices.

Moreover, 7 second prize winners will also walk away with a $100 Visa Gift Card each, according to information provided by the Redmond company.

Having a chance at winning the prizes offered by Microsoft is extremely simple.

“Here's what to do: 1.Follow @Office on Twitter. 2.Tweet "I want to win a #windowsphone 7 in the @Office Sweeps #office2010". 3.Tweet it daily now through December 13, 2010 for the best chance of winning!” Microsoft stated.

The only catch? The “Microsoft Office I Want To Win A Windows Phone 7 Sweepstakes” is only opened to residents of the United States.

And since 7 is somewhat of a leitmotif, of course this competition is designed to spread across the next 7 weeks, with a grand prize, first prize and second prize winner announced each week.

“Once logged into your Twitter account follow the links and instructions to become a follower of @office.

“Tweet the phrase listed in the pop up window; once you tweet the applicable phrase you automatically will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes for the first tweet you do each day.

“Each participant may enter one (1) time per day during the Promotion Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address or Twitter account,” Microsoft explained.
