Panda Software, the owner of the popular Panda Antivirus solution, recently debuted a special campaign for the upcoming 2008 security tool, offering several PlayStation portal game consoles as the big prize for the registered testers. All you need to do is register as a tester for Panda Antivirus 2008, Panda Firewall 2008 or Panda Internet security 2008 and you have the chance to win 2 PlayStation Portal consoles.

Obviously, you must be an active tester, which means that you have to install the applications, test them and report any problems, errors or incidents to the parent company in order to fix them. "However, bear in mind that to take part in the prize draw, only product bugs are valid, this does not include complaints, suggestions or other types of communication," it is mentioned on the official page of the contest. "Once the Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2008 and Panda Internet Security 2008 beta phase has finished, we will hold a prize draw of all those who have sent valid incidents and if you win you will be notified by e-mail."

Please keep in mind that this campaign is available until July 24, 2007 so, if you want to win a portable game console, you should register for the competition now.

Panda's software solutions are currently some of the top products in their categories although numerous users were disappointed by the huge amount of resources required by the applications. Others sustain that the programs are quite useless because they are not able to discover the latest threats, just like any other antivirus solution. Of course, Panda has some very powerful rivals such as Kaspersky, McAfee, Symantec and Nod32 but, if you want to keep it up, you must develop revolutionary products to lure the users.

If you want to download Panda Antivirus 2008, you can take it straight from Softpedia.
