Will Smith’s daughter returns to music, not many are pleased by her mature style

Some time ago, Willow Smith, Will and Jada Smith’s 12-year-old daughter, said that she’d be stepping back from the spotlight to focus on being just… you know, a 12-year-old kid. With that in mind, check out her brand new music video for the single “Summer Fling.”

Now, I like Willow. I also believe times have changed since I was 12 and I have only a vague idea of what kids her age do these days for fun.

However, various voices online (plenty of them, in fact) are saying that, whatever it is, it doesn’t include hanging out with dudes who are either closer to 18 or nearing 30, as some of the actors in the video are.

Neither does it include being the youngest in a group that spends the nights walking under the moonlight and kissing until morning, as Willow sings she does with her boyfriend, speaking of whom she even uses the L-word (love).

In fact, the same voices say, Willow is 12, so she shouldn’t even know what a “summer fling” is, let alone sing about it.

What do you think? Is the video too much or are people reading too much into it?
