It might sound far-fetched to hear that a child can sing about staying true to yourself and freedom in such a convincing fashion, yet Willow does it brilliantly.
“Express myself cause it's my liberty / I’ve been lookin' / Your validation is just not that important to me,” she sings at one point.
Useless to say, “I Am Me” also marks a departure in sound from previous releases, further confirming that Willow is already maturing as an artist.
