Sky High, the new Diseny movie set for release on July 29th, tells the story of a secret and elite school for kids of superheroes, where the students are divided into two categories based on how developed they powers are, heroes and sidekicks.
The main character in Disney's new family comedy, Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano) is expected to carry out the super powers legacy of his parents Jetstream (Kelly Preston) and The Commander (Kurt Russell), but he is eventually labeled as a sidekick and bullied as a result.
"What Will went through on his first day, I went through for a month in my high school not knowing anyone, trying to fit in, trying to get people to like you and so I know what he was going through; I think a lot of people do," Michael Angarano said, as quoted by Comingsoon.net.
"You know, he's got a lot of things; kids have to look up to their parents and their parents reputations. Will has the greatest superheroes on the planet, maybe in the history of the planet, as parents and he doesn't even have a spec of superhero ability and so that stress he's going through, I can't even imagine," the actor added.
For Kelly Preston filming for Sky High was an exciting experience, not only because she got to fly, but also because of the reaction she got from her costume, which had no cooling system, like Kurt Russel's.
