“Our marriage is intact,” is all what power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith has to say about recent reports about getting a divorce. Hours after InTouch Weekly ran a story about the two breaking up, the actors react.

Thirteen years into their marriage, the two had separated, InTouch claimed. No reason for the split was given, but the tabloid did make it sound like there was no turning back.

Since Will and Jada have always been considered one of (the few) golden couples in Hollywood, the report spread like wild fire, with many choosing to wait to believe it until confirmation came from either star.

TMZ contacted Karynne Tencer, Jada’s publicist, in a bid to get to the bottom of this, and it got a response that is best presented without comment.

“What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this... Lord. I’m going back to bed,” Tencer’s reaction was to the news of the alleged separation.

At about the same time, Will’s son from a previous relationship, Trey, took to Twitter to deny the news and urge the fans of the two stars not to believe such reports unless they come from a verified source, such as a PR person.

“Did WillandJada split? No they did NOT split ! False information ..its not true. Will and Jada getting a DIVORCE ..NOT TRUE AT ALL !! Everyone can think what they want ..even if its not true #Lame [sic],” he wrote.

Eventually, because rumors threatened to really spin out of control, Will and Jada issued a joint statement to People magazine.

They normally do not dignify such reports with a statement, but they’re making an exception in this case.

“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact,” Will and Jada say.
