Last summer, word got out that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were on the brink of divorce. While it was claimed at the time that they were done because of an alleged affair, fresh reports suggest this wasn't the case.
TMZ was the only media outlet to say that Will and Jada had talked about separation and divorce, but were
willing to keep working on the relationship.
Now, the same e-zine has also learned the reason the two stars had come to such a critical point in their marriage, considered by many one of the most durable and beautiful in showbiz.
Admittedly, the two kept fighting because they couldn't agree on what path their kids' career should take. They were both pulling in different directions for Willow and Jaden.
On the bright side, Will and Jada are now back together – and doing better than ever.
“Sources close to the couple tell TMZ they are doing 'wonderful' now – but earlier this year, sources tell TMZ there was tension between the two over how best to manage the careers of Jaden and Willow,” the e-zine writes.
“We're told each had their own ideas for how things should be handled – with Will pushing more for full-blown stardom and Jada leaning towards easing them in to things,” TMZ further writes.
All that is now water under the bridge, which should come as very good news for fans who had been rooting for them as a couple.
“But our sources say that bad patch – which included rumors Jada had an affair with Marc Anthony – is now past them and things are back to normal,” TMZ reports.
This should put to rest other rumors now making the rounds online. Earlier this month, for instance, several tabs were saying Will and Jada had
been faking their marriage for months, but that they had finally decided it was time to pull the plug on it.
They even said a divorce announcement was imminent.
