The rumors play an essential role in the promoting campaigns, and the gaming field has recorded an important dose of speculations ever since the announcements regarding the new gaming consoles appeared.

From technical specifications to prices and compatible games, the rumors have circulated continuously, the gamers' curiosity level reaching maximum heights.

The latest rumor on Nintendo Revolution is the price of only $99. Should the rumor be confirmed, Nintendo would ruin the competition's plans, their configurations having much higher prices. Xbox 360 has a price of approximately $400, while Play Station 3' will be similar.

Practically, Nintendo would create its own category, leaving Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to fight for the high-end gamers.

Of course, the rumor might only be an attempt to discourage gamers from purchasing Microsoft's or Sony's console, but the $100 bait might pay off.

It's worth mentioning that Nintendo has always made profit from its consoles and if the $99 Revolution becomes a reality, it's likely that its specifications will be just a shadow of what Xbox and PS 3 will have to offer.
