Developer Carbine has released the Invasion: Nexus update for Wildstar, its popular science fiction and fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

The massive content update includes a little bit of stuff for everyone, from a new 20-person raid instance to a new level-50 Contracts system and an additional fighting area, as well as more content for those who aren't into raiding.

There are also a lot of balance tweaks, altering some of the skills and abilities of the game's playable classes, in order to provide a better end-user experience.

The update also comes with a slew of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, including a more robust customization system, revamping the way costumes work, adding a Holo Wardrobe and Vanity Pets.

MMOs are usually about dressing up, pimping your gear, and then punching stuff in the face, and Invasion: Nexus delivers on every level. You can see for yourself in the video below, providing a neat outline of what's new, what's changed and what is exactly the same as it was.

The Wildstar experience has been steadily improving

The gist of it is that you will be fighting robot zombies and aliens, but you can also check out the full patch notes for more in-depth information, namely everything that the update delivers.

Wildstar was released back in June 2014, and gamers are pretty polarized regarding it. On one hand, the game world is interesting and vibrant, and there's a ton of content for everyone to enjoy, on the other, the end-game content is pretty difficult to tackle, because it was created to cater to the hardcore World of Warcraft population, and PvP has been criticized for being unbalanced since day one.

There are also rumors that the Wildstar will be dropping its monthly subscription sometime in the near future, but for the time being, Carbine Studios has not uttered a single peep regarding anything of the sort.
