Wikipedia fans who have the official app installed on their iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, may want to pay some attention to the latest version rolled out by the Wikimedia Foundation.

If you live somewhere outside an English-speaking country and rely on the Wikipedia iOS application for work, school projects, and any other stuff that gets the day going, you might want to look into Wikipedia Mobile 3.31.

Released recently for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Wikipedia Mobile 3.3.1 packs localization updates that improve the reading experience in various languages. Unfortunately, the release notes don’t include any details as to what languages (translations) have been updated.

The new build also updates the Wikipedia Mobile user-agent string. The app requires iOS 4.3 and any iDevice that supports this firmware version (starting with iPhone 3GS). The app is natively supported on all iOS devices, including iPhone 5 and iPad mini.
