The official Wikipedia app for Windows 8 has received a new update that promises to improve the overall experience for those who have already made the move to Windows 8.1.

The official release notes published in the Store point out that Wikipedia now comes with a new search input for Windows 8.1, which means that users of the new OS should now be able to find articles easier using the Smart Search tool integrated into the updated platform.

Otherwise, it remains the same helpful tool that boasts a pretty user-friendly interface and is completely optimized for the touch.

Wikipedia obviously offers support for all versions of Windows 8 and 8.1, so you can install and use it regardless of whether you are running the desktop or the tablet version of the OS.
