How come Nintendo didn't say anything about a first-party charge station yet?

Tired of not finding the Wiimote whenever you want to give it a swing? How about suddenly realizing that you have no batteries and it's 2 am with no place to find any AAA's within a ten mile radius? Yeah, it's surely happened to some of you but you're in luck now: Niko has developed and released the Wii-charge station. Not only does it charge the controller's batteries, but it does so in an elegant manner as well, keeping the batteries inside the Wiimote. Plus, the Wii's controller will now have a home as well, so no more lifting the carpet or furniture pieces around the house to find it.

The Wii-charge station is currently a Gamestop exclusive retailing for $29.99, but it will ship to other retailers as soon as April. Nothing is heard in regards of a first-party Nintendo Wiimote battery charger so far. However, I didn't even think that the Wiimote didn't have their own charge station. I thought it was only normal to have one. They made one heck of a gaming system, one hell of a motion-sensitive controller, yet no battery charger for it.

It's like hearing one day that Mitsubishi's cars are getting wheels from Aston Martin. The description starts out with telling possible customers that the station can hold 2 Wiimotes, like seen in the picture and in parentheses it says "not included." This must mean there are some people so stupid out there that actually think the Wiimotes would be included as a bundle, just like batteries are when you buy a charge station. Anyway, the batteries for 2 Wiimotes are included however and they also have a rubberized back side for improved grip. Mighty thoughtful of Niko isn't it?
