Much more sturdier

If you are a Nintendo Wii owner, then you surely have a Wiimote, therefore a wimpy Wiimote strap. This may have caused you to break one HDTV or two, and probably your parents didn't get mad at you. Yeah right!

Apparently, Nintendo has decided to look into this issue and has decided to replace those wimpy-looking Wiimote straps. I don't have a Nintendo Wii yet so I can't confirm this but gonintendo.com has a very interesting story in which they describe how this straps were replaced.

No, the Wiimote fairy doesn't come in the middle in the night, while you are asleep and replaces that strap but you have to send it in (if broken) and you'll probably get a new one. This is the case of a gonintendo reader, who after receiving a new strap, revealed some photos comparing the old and the new strap.

If you check the picture in the left of the text, you'll be able to see that the new strap looks much bigger and sturdier. I wonder if the European Nintendo Wii batch will come with this new strap. I certainly hope so!

Anyway, I hope that this will prevent any more idiots from breaking their TVs and trashing their rooms as was the case with a moronic Nintendo fanboy who managed to trash his place in a matter of minutes just by playing on the Wii. He smashed his laptop's screen and then aimed for the sky and broke his lamp. With shards of broken glass everywhere, you may not be surprised to hear that he managed to spill his own blood. Talk about being stupid...
