Aliens: Colonial Marines is one of the high-profile titles that has a version in development for the new Wii U home console from Nintendo. One developer working on the game says that it will be surprising compared to the versions arriving on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Brian Burleson, who is a producer working on Aliens: Colonial Marines, has told Eurogamer that, “You’ll have to wait and see. Just trust me on that one.”

He also mentioned that the all-new Wii U tablet controller could be used in a variety of ways, adding that, “You can imagine some cool features, for sure. It’s not hard to imagine some cool features.”

Nintendo plans to reveal the full hardware specifications for the Wii U at the 2012 edition of E3 and presumably Aliens: Colonial Marines will be among the games used to show its graphical abilities.

The game was supposed to arrive during the fall launch season, but has been delayed to February 2013.
