A player who identifies himself as Trike claims that he has managed to find a flaw in the social Miiverse for the newly launched Wii U, which allows anyone to access a debug page, see threads about upcoming video games and administer content on the platform.

Trike writes on the NeoGAF forums that he accessed the Miiverse debug page by pressing X on his GamePad while he was hovering over the exit button.

Despite the apparent security flaw, Nintendo claims that the user only managed to get to an obsolete page that was used for debugging.

An official statement from Nintendo reads: “It has come to our attention that some people were able to access a mock up menu on Miiverse following the launch of Wii U in the US. Please note that this was only a mock up menu and has now been removed and is not accessible.”
