The first NIGHTS screens have been unraveled. Cute, what can I say?
I know that buying a Nintendo Wii makes you a gameplay loving gamer and not a graphics loving gamer (God I have the worst possible explanations today), but for a game so rumored and so speculated like Sega's NIGHTS, I have to say that in-game visuals suck. Look, I'm sure there are plenty out there
not agreeing with me on this one, saying that Nintendo games are supposed to be fun and nothing more, which I myself agree, but the Wii is supposed to be a next-gen gaming system.

The least NIGHTS could do is keep up with the times, nobody's saying "give us the most sensational graphics or we're not buying the damned game!" Look closely and tell me the difference between the Sega Saturn game. Other than that trail of stars NIGHTS leaves behind when he/she flies making those nice loops, I can't see anything else improved. Of course, I'm talking about major stuff that actually counts like, buildings, edges, round objects. I dunno, maybe the TV is set on the wrong contrast.

The thing is, not much can be said from a bunch of screenshots. And Wii owners are right indeed: it's gameplay that counts the most with the Wii, which may very well go for any console and any game out there, but when we're talking next-gen, people expect some different and improved. Guess Sega hasn't learned that yet. Loads of thanks to 1UP for the screens.
