And where there's talk of a browser, there's talk of porn (remember the PlayStation Pornable -PSP for the more inexperienced readers). Some people just can't keep a clear head and search for any way possible to watch porn. Why use a perfectly good next-gen console to browse the web for porn (that's a different discussion with several trips to the head doctor?we'd better not get into it).
The case in question refers to an Opposable Thumbs reader, who happens to have a Wii and also happens to like porn. He sends in a email to his favorite gaming blog in which he explains: "So shortly after getting the trial version of opera on the Wii I went to a free adult site [restricted] to look at some photos. Yesterday I went back and... well apparently either the site maintainers are Wii enthusiasts or I'm not the only one. The site has added a "Wii friendly" interface for browsing their content. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised the adult industry seems to always know where technology is going, but I'm surprised to see it so quick. The browser hasn't been available but for a week now."
So judge for yourself, is this PlayStation Pornable all over again? If this gets to the ears of parents do you think that is going to affect Nintendo Wii sales? Will they forbid their kids "playing" with the Wii? If some 12 year-olds get online via the Wii, hit porn sites and their parents find out, I'm sure its going to be a media frenzy?So keep it hush-hush!
