The company has five WiMAX certified products included in its offering

Redline Communications, the leading provider of broadband wireless access and backhaul products, announced today that its RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX products have received the WiMAX Forum Certified mark for conformity to the IEEE 802.16e standards for Mobile WiMAX award. As the RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX RPM (Redline Personal Modem) subscriber unit passed WiMAX Forum Certification, Redline shows once again that its products meet the stringent requirements for performance and reliability and Redline’s high-capacity WiMAX offering gets this way its latest addition.

“With today’s announcement, Redline now offers five WiMAX products that have received the WiMAX Forum Certification mark,” said Monica Paolini, of Senza Fili Consulting. “These milestones, combined with its global footprint of more than 160 trials and deployments of its RedMAX WiMAX products, have positioned Redline among the leaders in delivering true WiMAX technologies that meet carrier’s needs.”

The RPM is compliant with IEEE 802.16e-2005 standards for Mobile WiMAX and operates in both 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands. It incorporates Sequans’ SQN1130 Mobile WiMAX SOC (System on a Chip) and is able to deliver fast and secure Voice and Video over IP, broadband Internet access including highly valued education, medical, transportation and municipal communications, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and other advanced broadband services. The Sequans chip features support for 2X2 MIMO, high throughput >30 Mbps, 280mW output power as well as support for hybrid ARQ Category 4 error correction.

According to the company, the RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX platform is meant to enable operators maximize their reach and expand their businesses this way. The new Redline WiMAX offering also allows for an easy integration of the company's existing RedMAX products with its RedMAX 4C technologies. Redline says that operators are offered this way the possibility to deploy WiMAX today as well as to introduce 802.16e as needed. Also, they will be able to advance to technologies that incorporate 802.16m, the WiMAX industry standard for true mobility.
