14 DAY TRIAL // Celebrities nowadays have acquired a very unique and helpful ability. They manage to remain relevant, that is to say, present in the media as well as in minds of the general public, without too much effort and by doing virtually nothing.
Take Lindsay Lohan, for example. I will personally give a case of beer to anyone who can name a major Hollywood production she’s recently starred in, or even an independent movie that was received very well by critics or has gone on to become a cult classic.
Can’t figure it out? Well, that’s because Lindsay’s filmography is short enough to be fitted on a Post-It with room to spare for a doodle or two. I’m not even going to mention the fact that her career is mostly made up of TV films and B-grade flicks, as well as guest roles in popular shows on TV.
Yet, Lindsay manages to capture our attention by landing almost daily titles in the news. That is partly due to her outrageous nature and partly due to our fascination with her evident self-destruction. How many of us didn’t have her pegged for an early breakdown in 2007 when her hard partying with drugs and alcohol was at an all-time high?
Last week, the actress who is still struggling to get her life and career back, with a little help from TV mogul Oprah Winfrey and her OWN reality series, has made headline news with an alleged list of male celebrities she’s had in her bed.
And because, like anything she does, her love life had to be outrageous, the list is made up of some very scandalous, very important names in Hollywood. The list was made public by InTouch, a magazine that swears on its authenticity and even provides a background story for it to make the story seem more believable.
She reportedly made up the list of 36 men back in 2003, during a drunken night out with girlfriends whom she seemed determined to impress, because she dropped some pretty heavy names in there. After she tossed it aside, the list got picked up by a random dude who hasn’t spilled the beans since then and only decided to come forward right smack in the middle of her comeback campaign.
The source didn’t publish the whole list straight away, but they did post a photo with most of the names blurred out. Then they proceeded to unblur the names, several at a time, on a weekly basis, as if it were a newspaper novel being printed chapter by chapter.
So far, among the names on the list we find Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell, Justin Timberlake, Garrett Hedlund, James Franco, Joaquin Phoenix, Zac Efron, Adam Levine, Evan Peters, Max George and Will Valderamma.
This week, a few more names were added to that list, and they proved even bigger as Ashton Kutcher, Orlando Bloom, Benicio del Torro, Stavros Niarchos and Ryan Philippe all appeared to have been inside Lindsay’s bed at some point in time.
The final form of the list will probably get published in the following weeks as the magazine claims that it will be scandalous and it will rock several marriages in Hollywood. Considering the fact that some men on the list have since married and even gotten children, it’s safe to say that it already must have caused some discussions in some celebrity homes.
And while all of this is going on, Lindsay remains oddly silent, not talking about what should be her embarrassing secret during TV appearances. She keeps acting like nothing has happened and she’s right now just focused on work.
Viewers have gotten a very close look at her trainwreck lifestyle during her recently released reality show made by Oprah’s television network OWN, and which shows that she’s just as fickle and unreliable as ever.
Also out this week a particularly nasty rumor had it that Linday’s sobriety as seen on said reality show, was nothing more than a gimmick. The word was that her sobriety coach, a very capable man with expensive services, by the name of Michael Cormier, was promptly fired after the end of the series, despite protests from him and from her production team that she wasn’t ready to end the program.
It seems that people have a morbid wish for Lindsay to fail because, as soon as she made an appearance on the TV show „Two Broke Girls,” there were immediately stories in the blogosphere about how she couldn’t remember lines and couldn’t even speak because of all the Botox she’s had injected.
These stories were later dismissed as pure fabrications by the production team and her co-stars, who all claimed in unison that Lindsay was professionalism in its purest form.
That curiosity of „let’s see what Linday’s done today” is probably the only reason why the name Lohan is still relevant today despite the fact that the woman has not delivered a believable performance in years.
