14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung might have received a lot of bad blood after deciding once again to use plastic on their latest flagship, the Galaxy S5, but even so consumers who bought the device quickly fell in love with it.
The latest piece of research coming out of Consumer Reports (as seen at PhoneArena) indicates exactly that.
According to their data (which will be published in February 2015), three versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone have managed to top their consumer satisfaction chart, leaving behind reputed devices like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Samsung Galaxy S5 makes people happy
The Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 Active shared the number one position with 79 points, while the Galaxy S5 Sport managed to grab 78. The difference between the models was probably due to the latter’s lesser battery life.
The LG G3 shared the same spot with the Galaxy S5 Sport, scoring a total of 78 points. The iPhone 6 managed to grab only 77 points while the iPhone 6 Plus fell even steeper to 73 points.
The iPhone 6 shared its position with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Alpha (Samsung’s first metal smartphone).
Moving on, we see the HTC One (M8), Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge making an entry in the top with 75 points.
The Motorola Moto X (second-gen) also made an appearance with 72 points (got ranked at the 20th position) while the highest BlackBerry handset was the Z10 with 67 points.
As for Windows Phone, the Samsung ATIV SE grabbed the 19th position with 73 points.
If you are wondering, the handsets were scored for Ease of Use, Messaging, Web Browsing and Display Quality.
Consumer Reports also gave a bunch of smartphones special ratings like the Sony Xperia Z3 which was applauded for taking the best-in-class pictures, while the Motorola DROID Turbo was said to be the bearer of “superb battery life” crown.
