Let's have a look on how the England football team will look like in Germany. Many articles "told us" about the players that will represent England on the next World Championship. So, we will try to make a short review of the certainties, injuries and "leftovers", which Erickson has to deal before the great tournament.

Certainties

Here we find goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who seemed to have won the battle with David James for goal position. Gary Neville and Ashley Cole are all set to play strong defense on the right and left-back sides. The center will be one of England's
top points, since the two players, Rion Ferdinand and John Terry, are the most powerful defenders in Europe.

At the center of the field we find an excellent line of players - Davin Beckam, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Joe Cole. The two players who can jump into this starting team, as midfield is concerned, are Liverpool's Jamie Carragher and Fulfam's Wayne Bride.

England's attack has no room for improvement, since Owen and Rooney will more likely start, unless some they are injured.

Reserves

The "loser" seems to be Arsenal's Sol Campbell, since he is far from being himself lately, as he went from "rock" to reserve. However, knowing his potential and determination, we can never guess what the future might bring.

Other players that could make a difference if used are: West Ham's Paul Konchesky, Phil Neville, Luke young, Jermain Defoe and Jermain Jenas, while Norwich goalkeeper Robert Green secured the 3rd place goaltending position with Chris Kirkland suffering from an injury.

Still waiting

Ex-Leeds player and present Real Madrid Jonathan Woodgate is too much risk, since he's been injured most of the season and doesn't have to many games played in this period of time. Chelsea's Glen Johnson has little hopes for the summer Championship, and Manchester's Wes Brown still waits for a lucky drop-out so he can squeeze into the team.

Striker Andrew Johnson has approximately 1% chances to make the trip to Germany, since all the position required on the team are taken.
