Not that Whitney Houston would really need to do anything spectacular in order to draw attention to her recently released album, “I Look to You,” but reports in the media have it that she’s getting ready for one of the most impressive promo campaigns of our times. According to That Grape Juice, Houston will be releasing not one, but two new videos in the next two weeks.

Initial reports had it that she would only put out an official video for “I Look to You,” the lead single off her comeback album, but as per the latest reports, she would also release one for “Million Dollar Bill.” The purpose behind this double launch would be, presumably, to offer the best of both worlds: a Whitney ballad and a more up-tempo pop track that might get more airplay, word in the industry has it.

“That Grape Juice can exclusively reveal that Whitney Houston will be premiering not one, but two new videos in the coming weeks. The video for ‘I Look To You’ is set to debut September 10th. While the clip for ‘Million Dollar Bill’ will be unveiled on September 16th.” That Grape Juice writes. And there’s more, as the star is also preparing a slew of appearances and performances, all of which will hopefully be better than the 4-song set she did for Good Morning America the other day.

“In other Whitney news, we have received confirmed word that she will be performing ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’ on The Oprah Winfrey Show – at the personal request of Oprah herself. Also, a televised special is being considered by Whitney’s team for later this year.” That Grape Juice further writes, citing reliable but unnamed sources. As of now, no confirmation of this has been made but, if the report is accurate, one should be coming in the next few days since this is too big a secret and surprise to be kept under wraps for long.

With all this, critics continue to remain unimpressed with Houston’s latest musical effort. As fans are getting up in arms (almost literally) to proclaim that a raspier, somewhat “battered” Whitney is better than no Whitney alone, music critics are saying that they expected far better from a diva of her worth. In the end, it could be that fans have the last word, as it has happened on countless other occasions as well.
