14 DAY TRIAL // Whitney Houston's mother is very upset that her own granddaughter, Bobby Kristina, is now dating a boy whom she called “brother” and whom the late singer considered her own son, even though she never adopted him legally.
Shortly after the Oprah Winfrey interview with Bobby Kristina (Krissi) aired on OWN, word got out online that she was dating her mother's “adopted son” Nick Gordon.
Many years ago, Whitney took Nick into her home and, while she never legally adopted him, she considered him her son.
Krissi, of course, thought of him as of a brother – but they are now dating.
This doesn't sit well at all with Cissy Houston, Krissi's grandmother. She's been telling friends she's appalled by the idea and, at the same time, convinced that it will be the ruin of the teen.
“Cissy Houston - Whitney Houston's mom – has reacted fiercely to the video we posted Wednesday... showing Bobbi Kristina and Whitney's 'adopted' son Nick Gordon in a romantic grip, and then kissing,” TMZ reports, citing sources close to the family.
“Cissy told a close friend, 'What they're doing is incestuous.' Cissy feels her granddaughter has problems and Nick is taking advantage of her,” the same report says.
Not only is it wrong to have the two romantically involved when they were raised to consider themselves related, but it might also be bad for Krissi, who is at a very emotional place after her mother's shocking death.
TMZ makes it sound as if the entire family is opposed to the romance.
“Although Whitney never formally adopted Nick, she considered him her son and Bobbi called him her brother. For his part, Nick called Bobbi his sister,” the celebrity e-zine writes.
Cissy is even trying to legally block Bobbi Kristina from being with Nick.
“Cissy is so concerned that Bobbi has become impressionable and therefore an easy target for Nick, she's asking the Whitney Houston Estate to take legal steps to get him evicted from Whitney's home – where Bobbi Kristina is also living,” TMZ says.
For her part, Bobbi Kristina has already taken to her Twitter to say she doesn't care what people (including her family) have to say about her romance with Nick – as also did he.
They're in love, they are not related and they plan on showing the world they were wrong to judge them at first, they say, as we also informed you the other day.
