As rumored some time ago, Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of late singer Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown, will be making her debut on a television, in a reality series, very soon. Confirmation of it has just come through.

As TMZ notes, it's not just Krissi, as her mother used to call her, that will be getting screen time, since the entire Houston family will join her.

The aim is to offer fans of the diva, who passed away in February this year, a closer look at how the family deals with losing her, while also catapulting Krissi's career.

“Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina – and several of her relatives – have signed a deal to star in a reality show for Lifetime called 'The Houston Family Chronicles',” the celebrity e-zine informs.

Besides Bobbi Kristina, the show will also feature appearances from Gary, Whitney's brother, Pat (her sister in law) and her daughter, and the singer's mother, Cissy Houston.

“In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow,” Lifetime's EVP, Rob Sharenow, says in a brief statement.

A release date has not been mentioned but, as per previous reports, chances are the network wants to rush the new series out, to capitalize on the massive media attention Krissi is getting right now.

A separate post on TMZ claims to have it on very good authority that the new project comes with the blessing of Whitney's mother, who is convinced that, in this way, Bobbi Kristina will be able to launch a career in showbiz.

“Houston family sources tell TMZ, Cissy Houston knows BK shares Whitney's passion for music and she believes a reality show could be the perfect place to showcase Bobbi's talent,” TMZ informs.

“We're told, Cissy also believes a reality show will 'help with the healing process' by 'keeping the family as one',” adds the same media outlet.

Unlike other families who opened their doors to television cameras, the Houstons have no intention of making a spectacle of themselves like, say, the Kardashians, opting for a more “serious tone.”
