Whitney Houston is back to the recording studio for a new album, just weeks after she was released from a rehabilitation center. Houston's producer, Clive Davis, says the 41-year-old will be finishing an album which she had previously started working on.
The visit to rehab was not the first one for Whitney. In March 2004, she entered a facility for substance abuse where she stayed only 5 days. People magazine reported that her mother Cissy Houston, was the one who petitioned a Georgia court to order her famous daughter to seek help in a rehab facility
Huston's manager declared the singer is "entering the second phase of her treatment".
Whitney Huston had a troubled life in the past decade. The drug problems affected both her career and her relationship with her husband and close friends.
Bobby Brown has spent a spell in prison for violating parole conditions and was arrested in 2003 after allegedly assaulting his wife.
