14 DAY TRIAL // That Whitney Houston had issues with substance abuse is no secret, especially since she was so candid about it in an interview some years ago. Bobbi Kristina too is battling the same demons, and she even had the same drug dealer as her mom, it has emerged.
A source close to the family has made the shocking revelation to the British tabloid The Daily Star, the Daily Mail informs.
The dealer's name is “Jay” and he's now a rich man for supplying the late singer and her daughter with drugs, the insider says.
“Her regular dealer toward the end was a big black guy called Jay. He would call at the house most evenings in the months leading up to Whitney's death. And he earned a fortune from her,” says the family source.
For six months up to her death, Whitney had been buying drugs, mostly cocaine and marijuana, from this Jay guy, the spy alleges.
However, Whitney never met him in person, making sure all transactions were taking place through a friend of hers.
“They would hand Jay a brown paper bag crammed with hundreds of dollar bills and Jay would hand back the bag with the top folded down,” says the source.
Unbeknownst to Whitney, Bobbi Kristina was also buying drugs from the same man, the report further says, though nothing as heavy as cocaine.
Jay would supply the teen with marijuana and occasionally alcohol.
“He would give her drink and drugs, usually cannabis,” the spy explains.
Bobbi Kristina and her uncle and aunt, Whitney's brother and his wife, have already given the first interview since the singer's death, which will air this Sunday as part of an Oprah special on OWN.
Chances are that the allegations making the rounds these past few weeks about Bobbi Kristina doing drugs again to numb the pain will be addressed in one way or another.
The Houston family hasn't commented the latest reports in any way yet.
