14 DAY TRIAL // Whitney Houston has been released from the hospital in Paris where she was admitted the other day, after being diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. While she’s saying she only had a bad case of the allergies, an eyewitness says for In Touch magazine he personally saw her snort cocaine in the company of her ex-husband, Bobby Brown.
The singer is on the verge of canceling the rest of her European tour as she is struggling with her old demons again, the tabloid says. Though this might seem like the type of story that usually makes it into the tabs and that rarely has any foundation, the worrying fact about it is that someone is actually willing to be named. As anyone who’s ever picked up a glossy magazine would know, these stories usually come from “unnamed sources,” “insiders,” “tipsters” and “spies” – but In Touch puts a name to the quotes as well: Marlon David.
“With reports that illness forced Whitney Houston to postpone the European leg of her world tour, In Touch can reveal shocking claims from onlookers at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in LA who were surprised on March 10 when the singer walked into the bar, appearing disheveled and out of it. According to eyewitness Marlon David, Whitney was with her ex-husband, Bobby Brown, and she seemed oblivious to who might be watching when she began screaming, ‘I want a [expletive]in’ drink!’ followed by expletives,” In Touch writes.
“While Whitney’s rep vehemently denies that she’s using drugs, David, who was sitting just a table away from Whitney and Bobby, tells In Touch exclusively: ‘I saw her pull a plastic bag out, put a folded bill to her nose and discreetly snort a line from it of what to me certainly looked like cocaine. She’s extremely thin and looks like a disaster. She’s a hot mess.’ According to David, Bobby – who says he’s now clean – and has lost weight since competing on Celebrity Fit Club – seemed to be disgusted with Whitney’s behavior. ‘He had so much trouble trying to control her,’ says David. ‘He tried to make her leave, but she wouldn’t. She started yelling his name loudly and calling him a stupid son of a [expletive], and he told her to shut the [expletive] up’,” the same publication further writes.
So far, camp Whitney has made no comment on these more recent allegations. Fans know that the singer has had a terrible experience with drugs, of which she spoke openly in the heartwarming Oprah interview, last year, as she was promoting her “I Look to You” album.
