14 DAY TRIAL // More confirmation on the fact that Cupertino-based Apple will launch a new iPhone model in the near future and that this device will not be the iPhone 5 has just emerged courtesy of a leaked screenshot of AT&T's internal systems.
The said document shows that AT&T has already introduced in its internal system the iPhone 4S, the long-rumored iPhone 4 refresh that should hit the market this fall.
Moreover, it lists the iPhone 4S as available in a white flavor, the same color version that other devices from Apple have been released in.
Other devices from Apple are also listed as included in AT&T's internal system, which brings a little more substance to the leak, which emerged courtesy of Engadget.
However, no other info accompanied the leaked screenshot, and we're still in the dark when it comes to a possible release date for the mobile phone.
What also remains to be seen is whether the white flavor of iPhone 4S will be released along with the black version, though this is something that Apple did not do with its latest device model.
One way or the other, the one thing that is almost certain at the moment is that there will be an iPhone 4S model launched at AT&T, in line with some of the recent rumors regarding Apple's plans.
The handset should arrive at other wireless carriers as well, including Sprint and Verizon. This will be the first time when the former receives an iPhone model.
The handset was long rumored to arrive on shelves with global connectivity capabilities, though it remains to be seen whether it will include support for 4G LTE as well.
4G radios should be included in iPhone 5, another future model that Apple plans on bringing to shelves, and which was rumored to land anywhere between October and early next year.
For the time being, however, nothing has been officially confirmed on either of the new iPhone models, and it might take a while before Apple makes a formal announcement on the matter, so stay tuned.
