The Glacier White console comes with a white DualShock 4 controller

The Glacier White PlayStation 4 that was announced to be part of a bundle with Bungie's upcoming online multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny will also be available as a standalone deal.

Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the limited edition console first announced in June will be out later this year, in Europe.

The Glacier White PlayStation 4 also comes with a Glacier White DualShock 4 controller, evidently, and will initially be available bundled with publisher Activision's Destiny, which is due out on September 9. The bundle also includes a copy of Destiny as well as a 30-day voucher for Sony's PlayStation Plus service.

Speaking with French website GameOne, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that the limited edition console first announced in June will be out later this year, in Europe, as a standalone product.

The PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system sold over 7 million units at last tally (on April 6, according to Sony), and Destiny is touted as having the potential to become the biggest system seller yet for the console.

Destiny's beta test will debut on July 17 for PS3 and PS4 owners, and on July 23 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers, and will run through July 27.
