If you've been saving for a new Mac, or looking to switch but just didn't raise enough cash yet, maybe you should check out this offer over at MicroCenter that no Mac fan should miss out on. The authorized Apple reseller has three Macs on sale, one of which goes for as low as 400 bucks – can you guess which one?

The old mini, of course, which used to retail for $499.99, and is now available for $399.99 after rebate savings, according to MicroCenter. The previous-generation Mac mini offers an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz processor, 1GB DDR2-667 RAM, 120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive,  SuperDrive Double Layer DVD±RW Drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, 10/100/1000 Network, AirPort Extreme 802.11g Wireless Network, comes pre-installed with Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger (yup that's sort of a catch) and usually ships in 1-3 business days, the reseller says. Note that no Mac mini has ever shipped with a display, so be sure to have one ready, as well as a mouse and keyboard that work well with a Mac (preferably Apple-branded).

Also much cheaper after mail-in rebate is the Apple 20-inch iMac. Now available at $999.99 (down from $1,199.99) after rebate savings, the computer packs an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz processor, 2GB DDR3-1066 RAM, 320GB 7,200RPM Hard Drive, 8x SuperDrive with 4x Double Layer Burning DVD±RW Drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, 10/100/1000 Network, AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wireless Network, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, comes pre-installed with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (just like Psystar's clones), and, unlike the mini, is an all-in-one solution boasting a 20" Widescreen LCD. The system also ships with its own peripherals, so you have the complete solution, out of the box.

In what is probably the most attractive offer from MicroCenter, the polycarbonate (plastic) White MacBook with a 13.3-inch display is now available for $799.99 after rebate savings. Just like the mini, the newly-upgraded notebook offers 2.0GHz of Intel Core 2 Duo processing power, 2GB DDR2-667 RAM, 120GB Serial ATA Hard Drive, SuperDrive Double Layer 8x DVD±RW Drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, 10/100/1000 Network, AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wireless Network, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and has Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard pre-installed on it.

Visit MicroCenter here to benefit from these offers, or here to check out thousands of other products to buy, including desktops, laptops, monitors. The Apple reseller also offers the possibility to build your own PC or order upgrades of any sort.

Update: this article has been modified to correct a statement in regards to the White (polycarbonate) 13-inch MacBook currently on offer at MicroCenter. The news piece mentioned the notebook as the "old MacBook" model, rather than the recently-beefed up SKU, sporting two times more ram and NVIDIA graphics. Thanks CaryMG for the heads up.
