Recently, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics was reported to have brought to the market in its country a new smartphone running under Google's Android operating system, namely the LG LU3000, and rumors on the possible appearance of a white flavor of that device also emerged.

The company did not offer specific info on this device, and it chose to release it in a rather silent manner, as we already reported, though, apparently, it's still uncertain whether users can already purchase the device or not.

However, even if the LG LU3000's landing on shelves took us by surprise, it appears that there will be more novelties in store for users, including the release of the said white flavor, which has made an appearance on the Internet only recently.

Unfortunately, no specific info on the availability of this device outside the South Korean market emerged for the time being, though it would be a nice option if released in more markets, that's for sure.

The specifications list of this device reportedly includes a OMAP3630 application processor, along with a large 3.8-inch touchscreen display.

Moreover, it also includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and support for 1080p video recording capabilities, as well as HDMI out port. The new device measures 120 x 59.7 x 11.8 mm and weighs in at 140 grams.

The LG LU3000 comes with Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system on board, though Android 2.3 Gingerbread might be included into the mix too in the near future (most probably as a software update, Akihabara News notes in a recent article).

According to previous informs, the mobile phone can easily prove the fastest selling Android-based handset on the market, leaving the flagship Galaxy S far behind.

Other details on this smartphone lack at the moment, but you can take a closer look at its white variant in the photo attached to this article.
