Stranger petitions have been started on the We the People page of the White House, but this one too is in a league of its own: over 100,000 people so far have signed a petition asking the President of the United States Barack Obama to revoke Justin Bieber’s green card and have him deported back to Canada.

The petition is titled simply “Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card” and is meant to send the message that the young pop star, who was arrested last week for DUI, driving on a suspended license, and drag racing, is too bad an influence on young people to be allowed to remain in the country.

“We the people of the United States… would like to see the dangerous, destructive, and drug abusing Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked,” reads the text.

“He is not only threatening the safety of our people, but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society,” the petition adds.

In order for Obama or the White House staff to even consider a petition, it has to have over 100,000 signatures. Right now, this one has crossed that threshold, which means it should be addressed. However, if you too signed it, you should probably not be holding your breath to see Justin leave the US.

After last week’s arrest in Miami, while he flew to Panama with his entourage for more fun in the sun, more reports emerging online claimed that the Miami PD fudged the arrest report because he was neither drunk nor drag racing, which would mean that the entire scandal was for nothing because he’d done nothing wrong.

Justin is to be arraigned on February 14 (happy Valentine’s Day!) and the accuracy of these claims will probably be proved then. If he was arrested without a reason, he’s definitely not getting deported.
