With the Christmas spirit spreading around all over the world, the White House's own Pastry Team honored the building by creating yet another perfect replica of the famous establishment as their favorite holiday tradition.

The White House Gingerbread replica consists of 150 pounds (68 kilograms) of gingerbread dough and 250 lbs (113 kilograms) of white chocolate and many other sweet-tooth causing ingredients.

The specialized chefs lead by Bill Yosses created a detailed gingerbread replica of the house with miniature marzipan and dark-chocolate dogs siting of the front steps and a functioning replica of the North Lawn fountain, notes Sky News.

If the house was not enough to delight the visitors, the gingerbread replica was placed on a life-size edible fireplace pulled out of the sweetest dreams and covered with more than one thousand Springerie cookies. The sugar-rush causing piece of art is displayed in the White House' State Dining Room, for all visitors to see.

The beautiful house also holds both green and special decorated Christmas trees made from marzipan, all in the attempt to build the best gingerbread replica yet. Every year the results of the White House's own tradition amazes visitors with more interesting and delightful features.

The footage showing the making of the White House Gingerbread replica was released to the press and reveals a time lapse video of the pastry team creating the amazing dessert. The stunning gingerbread White House replica holds almost 1200 cookies and more than a hundred pounds of chocolate.

While the White House pastry staff was busy building the gingerbread replica, another team of pastry artists, this time from Dresden, Germany built a giant 9,000 pounds (4,200 kilograms) cake, called Stollen. The cake got its own parade as it was called Germany's finest cake and all ingredients were hand-picked and blended in a special recipe.
