The same Diamond but with a different look

Although Christmas isn't as close as we might want it to be (we still have three more months until then), HTC has prepared a white surprise for all mobile users avid of high-end handsets. More exactly, HTC Touch Diamond will be available in white too, allowing those who don't like the all-black original version to give the Pocket PC a second chance.

The existence of the white Diamond is confirmed by the Taiwanese manufacturer (the handset can be seen on its official website), yet there are few details about its commercial availability. Anyway, the new Pocket PC was spotted over at Tele Online, a mobile retailer from Denmark, and it looks like it can be bought from there, in different packages like "Style Edition," "Sound Edition" and "Car Edition," each of them including specific accessories. The retail prices of the new Diamond range from 3,875 to 5,240 DKK ($740 – $1,000 or 520 – 705 Euros), depending on the package.

It's said that HTC will release the white Diamond in about all the markets where the black version is available, sometime before Christmas (maybe in October), so this would surely make for a great gift (assuming you have the money for it).

As for the features of the white HTC Touch Diamond, these don't seem to differ from the ones packed into the original Pocket PC. I'm sure most of you already know what it hides under its unique case, but if you're interested in reading a comprehensive review of its capabilities, don't hesitate to check out the HTC Touch Diamond Softpedia review, found at this address.

If the sales of Touch Diamond continue to go as well as up until now, HTC might further surprise us with even more colors. Pink, red or purple are hues that we saw countless times dressing up mobile phones, so they might soon touch the Diamond too.
