HTC Sensation XE in white has been confirmed for a February 20 release in the UK. Also known as HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio, the smartphone should be available at Clove UK starting today.

Customers can purchase the unlocked white HTC Sensation XE for no less than £410 (650 USD or 490 EUR) through Clove. However, another UK-based retailer has just confirmed it will offer the smartphone for much less.

White HTC Sensation XE is now available for free on select plans at Phones4U. Customers who want to pre-order the smartphone will have to commit to a £26 (40 USD or 30 EUR) per month on a 24-month Vodafone tariff.

The same retailer offers the handset for free with a new 24-month Orange UK plan, as well as for £19.99 (30 USD or 25 EUR) with a £21.50 (35 USD or 25 EUR) per month on a 24-month O2 tariff.

For the time being, HTC Sensation XE is available in two colors: black and white. Both versions have similar specs, so it’s just a matter of taste. According to Phones4U, HTC Sensation XE in white is due to arrive on March 1.

HTC Sensation XE is shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but is expected to receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade within the next few months.

On the inside, the smartphone packs a powerful dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 220 GPU.

There’s also 4GB of internal memory (only 1GB user available), 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

HTC Sensation XE in white sports a large 4.3-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors support.

Other highlights of the smartphone include 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, VGA front-facing camera for video calls, HSDPA and Wi-Fi support, along with Bluetooth and built-in GPS receiver.
