HTC One XL has been available on shelves at Australian wireless carrier Telstra for a while now, though only in a grey flavor, but it will soon be released in a new color flavor, namely white.

The company managed to secure an exclusivity on this iteration of the mobile phone as well, and will add it to its offering as soon as October 2nd, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Telstra has announced that the new device is Blue Tick certified, which means that users will be enjoying good reception with it even in remote locations.

Unfortunately, the company did not offer specific info on the price tag of this smartphone, but it should go for the same cost as the grey One XL does, namely $0 upfront on the $80 monthly plan.

The similarities with the existing device version go beyond that, it seems, as the white flavor of the phone sports the same hardware specifications list as the original.

Thus, users will be enjoying a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor inside it, complemented by 1GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

Moreover, the white One XL will sport the same 4.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a 1280×720 pixel resolution for a great viewing experience while on the go.

The handset comes with 32GB of internal memory, but with no microSD memory card slot to expand it. It also sports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot, DLNA, microUSB port (MHL), and built-in GPS receiver.

The specs list of this smartphone further includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 1.3MP camera on the front for making video calls.

4G LTE and DC-HSPA+ 3G were included in the mix as well, along with Google’s Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Nevertheless, the phone is expected to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean shortly after launch.
