White HTC Desire and Silver Wildfire Emerge

Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation released this year a series of pretty appealing Android-based handsets, among which we had the chance to see the HTC Desire and HTC Wildfire, both available in various color flavors on the market, and both expected to arrive in special editions before the end of the year.

According to the latest news around the Internet, the company is getting ready for the release of a White HTC Desire version in time for the holiday season, just as to make the phone a little more appealing than it already is.

Moreover, it seems that the leading handset vendor is also considering the release of a new HTC Wildfire flavor, a Silver one, following the availability of varied hues for the device.

We already saw HTC bringing to the market a Black HTC Desire, but the Brown flavor of this device was what most of us were able to get.

However, unlike other mobile phones from the company, the high-end Android-based device and its mid-level brother should arrive on shelves in new color flavors.

This is something that HTC doesn't usually do, as Android Community notes in a recent article.

The mobile phone maker chooses a series of color options for its devices, and sticks to them all the way, but HTC Desire and Wildfire users seem to be luckier than others.

As for when the new color version of the Android-based devices should arrive, Android Community cites UK retailer The Carphone Warehouse, which said recently that these special editions should arrive in time for the holiday season.

The Carphone Warehouse says that is it would have exclusivity on the new models, and that they would be released at the same price tags as the existing versions.

It's rather disappointing that HTC chose to make the White Desire and Silve Wildfire available only in the UK, but, who knows, maybe they will have a change of hearts.
