The white flavor of Samsung Galaxy S II went available for purchase in the UK today, but it seems that this is not the only country that will receive it before September is over.

Australia is expected to get a taste of the new flavor of Galaxy S II as well during this month, and it seems that wireless carrier Optus will be the one to make this possible.

According to the latest rumors on the matter, Optus is expected to launch the white flavor of Samsung Galaxy S II on its network as soon as September 9th, which is roughly one week from now.

The white flavor of Galaxy S II was spotted into the wild for the first time over a month ago, and it seems that it is now set to hit the shelves in various markets around the world.

In addition to packing all of the features and capabilities that the original Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone landed on the market with, the new device flavor also adds more style into the mix with the white coat that Samsung dressed it up with.

The eye-catching white Galaxy S II model is expected to arrive on shelves at Optus for $0 upfront on the wireless carrier's $59 cap, the same cost that the original Galaxy S II model sports.

On top of this, users will also receive a free desktop dock as part of a special offer that Allphones and Optus have put up for the carrier's customers. The white version of Galaxy S II can be seen listed at Allphones here, with the said dock next to it.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the smartphone features a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, along with a fast 1.2GHz application processor, and 16GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

The mobile phone also comes with an 8MP camera on the back, with LED flash and video recording in HD, as well as with a secondary camera on the front, for video calling. (via)
