14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung Galaxy S, the high-end, highly appealing smartphone South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung brought to the market this year with Google's Android operating system on board, is headed for the UK market in a new color version, white.
This flavor of the mobile phone was already spotted into the wild in Asia, but no info on its arrival in other markets around the world emerged until now.
However, it appears that mobile phone users in the UK are getting the white version of this device too, exclusively available in the country via Carphone Warehouse.
“White color variant available to pre-order for the 10th November delivery,” the retailer notes on its website, on Galaxy S' page.
The rest of the specifications list for this smartphone would remain the same, it seems, with the cover color being the only thing that changes.
Moreover, it appears that the new handset flavor will run under the same OS version as the older, black iteration, at least this is what one can read on the retailer's website.
“Step into the future with Samsung Galaxy S; a light, bright, beautiful smartphone. This gorgeous mobile supports Android 2.1, with an update to Android 2.2 arriving very soon,” the company notes.
In case there are some unfamiliar with what Galaxy S has to offer, we should note that it sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, complemented by a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor.
The phone also comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, support for 3G networks, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, and more.
A microSD memory card was included into the equation too, so as to expand the available storage space, as well as a GPS receiver, to power various location based services.
Not to mention that the handset offers great multimedia features, as well as support for a wide range of services from Google.
“Plus you’ll get access to both Android Market and Samsung Apps, meaning more content to choose from. This is a brilliant phone that’s easy to use and extremely exciting,” the retailer notes.
