Today, Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS launched the white flavor of Samsung’s largest Android-based device, the Galaxy Note.

The handset was made available for purchase from the operator several weeks ago in black, and is now offering more color options for those who are interested.

Just like the black version, the white Galaxy Note features a price tag of $199.99 (153 Euro) with the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

However, users interested in the new model will also be able to acquire it on different contract lengths, as well as contract-free, in which case it will set them back $779.99 (around 590 Euro).

“With its massive 5.3” screen, LTE capable speeds and Android 2.3, the ultraportable Samsung Galaxy Note easily extends smartphone capabilities,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

In addition to the aforementioned large touchscreen display, the handset features a fast dual-core application processor, along with 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for additional storage space.

Galaxy Note comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, as well as with a front camera for video calling.

The phone’s features list includes:

- Sketch and create with the precision of a real pen using the intuitive digital “S pen” - Capture pictures on or off the screen and easily edit and share them - Download and stream at blazing fast speeds with a dual core 1.5 Ghz processor - Create a Wi-Fi hotspot to share web access with up to 8 devices like your tablet or laptop - Access over 450,000 apps, games, books, movies and songs on Google Play - Stay on track with FREE Google Maps turn-by-turn voice guidance navigation and Google Maps in 3D

Galaxy Note is based on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system at the moment, but will get a taste of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future.

Canadians interested in purchasing this smartphone at TELUS should head over to the carrier’s website to learn more on it.
