14 DAY TRIAL // UK wireless carrier Orange is gearing up for the release of a white flavor of the world’s largest Android mobile phone, the Galaxy Note.
The smartphone has been available for purchase in the country via other wireless carriers, such as Three, and will soon make it to Orange’s airwaves.
The white flavor of the handset was already added to Orange UK’s website on a coming soon page, so that users interested in it could register to receive info on when it will become available for purchase.
The Android smartphone packs a 5.3-inch touchscreen display, the largest in the world at the moment, along with a dual-core 1.4GHz application processor for fast performance.
“Is it a notebook, is it a tablet? No it's the ultimate on-the-go device—the Samsung Galaxy Note. Combining the main benefits of mobile devices with smartphone portability, this phone is the PDA of the future,” Orange UK notes.
“With a massive 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display, the viewing experience is like no other. Use the S Pen stylus with full touchscreen capabilities to sketch, draw and write notes and ideas. Or you can even record voice and music.”
The specifications list of this device also includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for 1080p HD video recording. There is also a 2-megapixel front camera for making video calls.
Samsung included 16GB of internal memory with this mobile phone, as well as a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.
Galaxy Note was also packed with WiFi 802.11 b/g connectivity, as well as with HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, micro USB v2.0, FM radio, and the like.
“The Samsung Galaxy Note also has a raft of features to take the office outside, including Cisco WebEx for web conferencing, IM, VPN access, real time planning and memo taking.
