It looks like Best Buy plans to release the white version of DROID Incredible 2 by HTC Android smartphone.

According to September’s Buyer’s Guide published by Best Buy and leaked courtesy to the guys over at DroidLife, the white variant of the DROID Incredible 2 will be exclusively available from the major retailer starting next month.

However, this has nothing to do with the silver version that was spotted about two weeks ago, which retains its dark color on the front and features a silver back hood.

While the silver variant of the DROID Incredible 2 is expected to be released by Verizon Wireless, the white version will be exclusively available through Best Buy, at least for a certain time frame.

Unfortunately, there are no details about the phone's pricing options or exact release date, but we can assume that the white DROID Incredible 2 will be available for the same price as the original device, some time in September.

Although the DROID Incredible 2 was initially delivered with Android 2.2 (Froyo) with HTC Sense user interface on top, Verizon released a Gingerbread upgrade at the beginning of August.

The smartphone does not come with LTE support but offers the power of a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU.

In addition, the DROID Incredible 2 features a larger 4-inch S-LCD capacitive multi-touch screen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs 1.1 GB ROM, 768 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

The handset boasts a superior 8-megapixel main camera that features autofocus, dual-LED flash, touch-focus, face detection and image stabilization, as well as HD recording capabilities.

According to the manufacturer, HTC DROID Incredible 2 is powered a 1450 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 360 hours of standby time or up to 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.
