The just announced BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone from Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is already available for purchase in the homeland market in more colors than before, with wireless carriers like Rogers and TELUS making the white flavor of the device available for their users.

The mobile phone was initially made available for purchase in a silver flavor, but the two wireless carriers decided to put the white version up for sale as well, so as to offer more options to their customers.

Those who would like to purchase the white BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone from Rogers will have to head over to the carrier's website here for that, where it was listed at $199.99 with the signing of a three-year contract.

However, those who will choose TELUS as their operator will pay only $129.99 for the mobile phone on the same term and will find the phone here. Free of contract, the smartphone is available for $549 at Rogers, and goes for $599 at TELUS.

The new BlackBerry Torch 9810 was launched as the successor of last year's Torch smartphone, and comes with the same sliding form factor as the predecessor.

“A powerful evolution of the world's first smartphone with a full touchscreen and BlackBerry keyboard. Designed to give you choice, the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone lets you do it all,” Rogers notes on this device.

“Improved browsing, high speed, Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, easy to navigate design, multi-tasking, and the powerful BlackBerry 7 OS - which comes packed with powerful new features and innovative apps.”

The 3.17-inch touchscreen display (640 x 480 pixels) RIM packed Torch 9810 with is complemented by a full QWERTY keyboard that expands the available input options users can benefit from on this device.

The specifications list of Torch 9810 also includes a 1.2GHz application processor, a 5MP camera on the back, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, WiFi, Bluetooth, and more.
