Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the last games that need to be ported on the Steam for Linux platform, but news about a timeline for this port has yet to appear.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been available for quite a while on the Windows and Mac platforms, but the Linux version hasn't even been hinted at.

Some rumors have been floating around the Internet, mostly based on changes on the server side, but Valve has yet to say anything about a possible port for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Games usually enter a Beta stage before arriving as stable on Steam for Linux. Moreover, multiplayer games have a lot of problems that need to be ironed out, which means that even if it's launched as Beta, it will be a long time before the game official lands on Steam for Linux.

More details about Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and about the latest operations can be found on the Steam website.
