When Not with Tom, Katie Is Allowed to Wear Heels

Tom Cruise's next-to-be wife, the young Katie Holmes, is finally free! Bad mouths had much to say about her so-called retirement from the spotlight, including that the fanatic Cruise is actually keeping her under lock and key at his compound, to take care of their non-existent (?) baby Suri.

But Katie, despite news that she is a totally different woman now (negatively speaking, of course), has been making many public appearances lately. But one thing is for sure: she is very fond of shopping at Barney and, of course, tabloids had something to say about that too. Namely, that Tom is kinda keeping her on a very strict allowance.

From another point of view, Katie's latest outing was special for us for one single reason: the usually flat-soled shoes that she sported on previous occasions were replaced by a pair of very high-heeled ones.

And it's no wonder that Katie took this opportunity of just being herself, as people are very aware that Tom is always asking his soul mate not to wear heels when she is to pose next to him. Rumor has it that the million-grossing actor has a serious problem with his height and that he is not willing to appear as a real midget in front of the paparazzi.

Now that Katie finally got out, we are anxiously expecting those promised Suri pictures.
