We reported about a week ago about a WhatsApp Messenger for Android release that has yet to be made available onto Google Play Store. WhatsApp version 2.11.169 brought a handful of useful new features to those who downloaded the application via developer’s website.

Among the new features included, we did mention the ability to disable the “Last seen at ...” option. It appears that the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp will be getting extended privacy features related to the “Last seen at …” feature.

WMPoweruser reports that the folks over at Windowsteca.net have discovered that new feature are now tested in WhatsApp Messenger for Windows Phone. Apparently, WhatsApp plans to introduce a new option that will allow users to control who can see when they were last online.

In addition, WhastApp users will also get the ability to control who can see their profile information and picture. These new features are tested on the Android version as well, so Google fans should rest assured they will get these goodies as well.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling when exactly these privacy features will be released on Windows Phone and Android, but we suspect that they will be made available on the latter platform first. Hopefully, that will happen sooner rather than later.
